Located just southeast of downtown, it contains some of the oldest surviving commercial and residential buildings in the city, and its gorgeous late-Victorian architecture has been lovingly preserved. Today, the area is the epicenter of a small arts scene, clustered around The Neon, which specializes in foreign and art-house cinema, and a number of small boutiques and galleries, like Gallery 510.
