Brewery District

Brewery District Neighborhood Summary

This nearly 200-year-old neighborhood can never be accused of lacking character. It gained its name from hosting 5 breweries before prohibition. This district still retains remnants of its industrial past, while becoming a favorite hangout for OSU students and other Columbus residents. Naturally, there are a number of pubs and craft breweries in the area. Blooming around these breweries are delectable local restaurants, making this neighborhood a must-see for foodies. The nightlife here is certainly present, but it is a much more mature, subdued kind of nightlife than what one might find in the Arena District. Located relatively close of OSU, the Brewery District is an ideal neighborhood for students who want a slice of downtown living without raging hustle and bustle.

Each month, using over 1 million Rentable listings across the United States, we calculate the median 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom rent prices by city, state, and nation, and track the month-over-month percent change. To avoid small sample sizes, we restrict the analysis for our reports to cities meeting minimum population and property count thresholds.
