Description

For almost a century, 2003 Greene Street has been home to quality institutions bringing value, presence, and service to Columbia’s village neighborhood. Opening its doors in 1928, Claussen’s Bakery built a prominent business baking breads and goods and shipping them to towns across the region. The building was a proud achievement for both its pioneers and Columbia. Its breadth of accomplishment across commerce, industry, and architecture brought it prominent status on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
