I lived at The Arbors at Windsor Lake for 3 years up until 1 month ago. I had just graduated college and moved from a different state to start a new job. The previous management staff - Jamie, Delores, and Breanna were absolutely amazing and always made sure to take care of me. After they left, Jonamel and Claire replaced the team and they have been nothing but sweet, helpful, and accommodating as well. As a twenty-something female, living alone in an unfamiliar city, I can honestly say that I felt safe, happy, and stress-free while living at The Arbors. The majority of my fantastic experience has to do with the management team and their staff both in the office and on the grounds. I never had an issue with neighbors, the gate always worked properly, I felt safe going for runs around the complex, and I always felt like my concerns, maintenance or otherwise, were met with respect and timeliness. Were I to ever return to Columbia, The Arbors at Windsor Lake is the first place I would look for an apartment.

I would honestly agree with most of these negative reviews. Iv'e been here a few months and I have already asked about terminating my lease but that however is to much of a pain. The office staff is TERRIBLE!!!! I have had numerous of maintenance issues and when trying to report them you can NEVER get in touch with the front office. I have called 7 to 8 times an left messages and never got an answers or call back. I have been hours sometimes a few days without air or heat when both have stopped working. On move in day we were told we could start moving as early as 10am on a saturday and the office staff member who was suppose to move us in was almost 2 HOURS late for work me and my boyfriend sat outside for almost two hours waiting on her to show up it was very unprofessional and rude. Everything is always breaking ceiling fan, the place is always dusty, i did not get my pool key until WEEKS after i moved in because she was rushing on move in day from being 2 hours late to work, you are fined for having certain items on your balcony that you pay money for, my car has gotten vandalized over night. The so called gated community that you live in gets stuck wide open for days sometimes leaving anyone to come in at any time. The water leaks under the sink leaving an AWFUL smell that i have complained about numerous of times an they say i did not clarify which sink it was when i only have TWO a kitchen and bathroom sink!!!!!! This place would be great if there were different staff and different people in charge of this community. They claim they care about your stay and your home and your concerns an comments when they right there feedback but when you try to tell them in goes in one ear and out the other. I have roughly 7 more months on my lease and I am dreading it more and more everyday!!!!!!!! It is awful and i do NOT recommend this place to anyone. So if you even consider this place I would recomemnd you continue your look!!! Look past this place. They are so unprofessional and they can never get anything done or done right I should say. I'm so unhappy with the place I chose as my FIRST apartment.

This is NOT the place to live if you care about having a healthy business relationship with the leasing people. One of the 5 star ratings is posted by the leasing specialist. I have only been here a week on a corporate lease and I instantly regret it. My apartment was not ready on move in day (a Saturday). I stayed in a hotel for the weekend and it was still soiled on Monday when I returned; which was the day I was promised it would be in livable condition. The property manager has said or done NOTHING to restore my confidence that they care about my concerns as a tenant. My rented furniture was placed in the apartment before it could be cleaned. Who does that? (The Arbors @ Windsor Lake) The previous tenant left lots of debris and apparently was a heavy smoker. The housekeepers vacuumed the floor but left the unit with nasty carpet stains and it smelled dirty. The place is awfully dusty. The shower curtain from the previous tenant was waddled up and placed in the bathroom cabinet and the leasing person told ME to discard it. There are no perks to having a gated apartment community if there is no way to distinguish tenant vehicles from visitor vehicles (especially since a previous tenant wrote in the review that they experience a crime involving their car). Even today ( Friday) I was told that they had to change the locks because they are not sure if the last tenant had more keys made... huh what??!! I would not recommend this location as an option to call home, even for a brief period.

Super friendly and responsive staff, particularly Jonamel, our agent, and Larry, maintenance engineer, who knows how to repair anything. They are quick to resolve issues. Likes: pool area, dog park, nice neighbors, scenic views, includes washer/dryer. Feels very safe. Condos are cute. Dislikes: kitchen bit dated, cabinets are a little small. Having looked at 1/2 dozen places, would say Arbors best value in the area.

Our vehicles have been broken in twice over the past 2 months stealing merchandise in excess of $3000. Couple that with the fact it happened right in front of the complex shows that the allure of security is just that and not real. Gates open and stay open for at least 5 cars to come through, no courtesy patrol, no security guard so the gate is pretty much fluff. We were told to make sure we have renter's insurance but who wants to use it every month if you're supposed to be living in a relatively safe complex. Will be heading to Ft. Jackson housong authority today to see what options we have.
