DO NOT TRUST THEM
To make a long story short - I was very nearly scammed out of $335 over the course of a month-long application process. I was dragged through miles of red-tape and made to jump through hoop after hoop to get an apartment I felt sure I was going to be approved for based on the behavior of the office staff. Roughly a week before my projected move-in date, I called to request the refundable $200 deposit (in the form of a signed money order - with nothing in the 'pay to' section) back because it was becoming clear to me that I wasn't going to get the apartment and had in fact already applied for another apartment. I was told they would call me back, but I heard nothing until I called again this morning (6 days after that call) to ask about the status of my deposit. I was then told I'd been miraculously approved after being dragged through so many technicalities and stressful attempts to comply with their high standards for applicants, which meant I wouldn't receive my deposit back. I am a 21 year old woman and am, as I have discovered, gullible. My father, however, is not, and he made a call, the result of which was they talked to 'corporate' and were told to give me my $200 back. This entire process was filled with sketchy money and business practices, promised phone calls that were never made, and a lot of headaches and stress for an apartment that is simply not worth it.
