The worst place to live, the act never works and maintenance does not pay attention. Nothing works properly, when one thinks that is going to rest something is damaged. I do not recommend it at all. I send request for repair several times and never come to the apartment. Almost 1 year with out A/C and the temperature inside is 87 degrees. Don't move here if you want your health

This is the WORST place I have ever lived!! TAKE HEED to these reviews most of them are nothing but truth this place has definitely taught me a lesson. The office girls are ridiculous and are unheIpful very shady!!! Had a work order for a leaky sink that was also stopped up this month makes a year and its still not fixed I had to find a way to fix it myself. They never came out to even attempt to fix it and the last time I checked on it the work order was magically closed. The neighbors are not mindful of others at all like maybe some of us like myself have to actually get up early in the morning for work and have kids that are put to bed at a decent time and cant get to sleep because they are in a group talking loud laughing and screaming and you can hear everything through the paper thin windows. The neighborhood kids are rude they are always in the middle of the street and even when they see cars coming they barely move over and if they do its very slowly. If ask them to move they start cussing at you. I know its only by the grace of God that we made it out of there without anything being broken into or being harmed. Ive heard gunshots multiple times and theres always drug transaction and people scatter like roaches when the cops come around. Oh yes and roaches be prepared to buy lots of raid or roach killer because you will be killing them all summer long the roach problem wasnt as bad in the winter but they are definitely still around and dont expect to have pest control come out Ive been waiting about 7 months for that even though they supposedly come every Tuesday. Rats by the dumpster is the only improvement Ive seen since being there when I first moved in it was rats by the dumpster and I mean huge rats but thats not surprising because theres trash all around the complex neighbors will dump a bag of trash off their balcony and it will sit there for two weeks. On weekends the trash is horrible dumpster over following with furniture sitting everywhere theres always lots of trash on the ground by the dumpster to the point you almost have no choice but to dump your bag on the ground with the other trash. The list could go on BEWARE the apartments appear nice and have a nice setup but this complex is TRASH

Lived here and it's literally the WORST place to live in Charlotte. If you want rude management, kids peeking in your window, people living in vans outside your apartment, teens having sex outside your apartment in cars ( also kids having sex in the woods), rats,roaches,swat teams camping outside and shootings near your car then this is the place for you. I'm happy I moved out but now I have to deal with trying to get my security deposit back they continue to givens the run arounds. Basically Don't move here this entire place should be SHUT DOWN BY THE STATE!! Oh yea I forgot to mention a group of kids robbed the mail man and took my package.

I've been for over a year and a half, I've seen different management and maintenance staff. I can say that the people in place now are trying to turn around. From the time it takes for work orders to be completed to the staff. I enjoy where I live.

After reading all the reviews about Woodland Estates, I wanted to share some positive thoughts and experiences that I've had. I recently relocated to Charlotte from the Greensboro area about 3 months ago. Woodland Estates was on my list to visit when searching for my new apartment. The size and price was great for being in Charlotte, I did run across the reviews, me being me I wanted to check the complex out for myself. When I arrived to tour the office manager was very welcoming and made me feel as my though my thoughts, concerns and needs matter. With all that being said fast forward to today, like I said I resided here for about 3 months now. After moving in I did have a few issues that needed to be repaired, the turn around time for my items to be fixed was significantly fast. The grounds (trash) are looking better! There are new faces that I've seen in the office since I moved in, so I can tell that things are being turned around. I do have hope in Woodland Estates, everything isn't 100% as no place will be. But for all the bad reviews I've read I can truly say that a change is taking place here!

I am the Regional Manager over Woodland Estates and want to share that we are working to address the issues expressed in your reviews. The common thread in most of the reviews is maintenance response times and communication with the office; within the last 3 months we have completely rebooted our maintenance team and have been providing extra training and coaching for the office staff. As a company we value your residency and truly want Woodland Estates to meet your and our expectation.

This has to be the worse rental experience in my life. Where do I start? The trash pick up is terrible. It attracts rats, stray dogs, etc. You have to beg maintenance to actually repair these outdated units. Those are just the small things. The rental office is notorious for adding on surprise fees, then becoming very threatening if they aren't paid. After they charge you these made up fees, they won't talk to you in order to find a resolution. You will be told that they'll get back to you. They have towed my car, after they neglected to place a note on my building to inform me they needed cars moved due to work being done on trees. Instead of admitting that they failed to place a note on my door, they just told me that it's my problem. It gets better. Each year that I've tried to move, they find a way to make that transition impossible due to whatever information they feel like giving the new rental property. This has been a nightmare....

This is by far the worst complex I have ever lived in. The management has absolutely no pride in their work or the care of their property. After calling the city to inspect my unit I was told there were multiple code violations not including the mold. The property threw repairs together doing only the bare minimum required to pass inspection and the property manager was completely fine with the poor work that was completed. There are roaches and even rats every where, the trash control is outrageous, and the office staff has no concept of customer service. Most of the reviews mention mold which the property is well aware of but fails to remediate. I assume they are waiting for someone to get sick as it seems they wait until the last minute to do just about anything. If you have options I recommend looking elsewhere. This is a horrible property on a horrible side of town and not worth the headache. It's simply disgusting.

I had no problems until about 2 months into my lease. in the middle of the summer my A/C went out I talked to the maintenance crew as well as the office and they half-way fixed it, a week or so later my A/C goes out again ive been talking to the leasing office nothing has been done yet a lot of things are really insane that they expect you to do . I asked the leasing office whats the price of terminating my lease agreement she telIs me I have to pay the entire amount left on the lease. I will NEVER recommend anyone to move here

This apartment itself is trash. I originally was supposed to move in on the first of the month and my apartment was not ready and had water damage in the ceiling. I moved in A WEEK later, and luckily they took off money from my rent. I keep my apartment very clean and I continue to see a roach once or twice a week. My car was also recently broken into and the rep I spoke with was careless. The apartment workers seem to not care and act nonchalant about all of these issues and it's frustrating. I have pictures that I've taken of. The roaches I've killed. The rat infestation near the trash is disgusting as well. I have a 5 yr old that always wants to go to the playground but that is dirty too. I've never lived in such a place as dirty as this and CANNOT wait until my lease is up. I hope I can last smh.

I have had so many issues living in this complex. Not only was my apartment broken into but when i went to report this to the office they would not answer the phone. I called and the police called them. I had to wait until they open the following day to let them know so they can fix the window and when I did they acted as if they did not care. It took them over a week to get glass doctor to come out to replace the window. Not only did i feel unsafe after the fact but i could not live in that apartment with my newborn baby and worry about us being safe. when I was pregnant mold was growing on my wall and i called to report the issue many times and it took them a month to come out to fix it and its ONLY because i reported them to the health department. I have mold still in my bathroom, my a/c is currently not working, under my sink in the kitchen is caved in from when i reported that it was leaking and they have not fixed it. The trash is all over the complex along with roaches and big ass rats. I absolutely hate living over here. My lease is over in 2 weeks and i am so ready to move... I would not recommend anyone to stay here. desperate or not

One of the worst apartment complexes in Charlotte. It is a very dirty and trashy neighborhood with roaches and rats to go along with it. My apartment was broken into and it took them a week to come fix the glass and put a new window . Maintenance is supposed to available for emergency situations 24 / 7 but they literally NEVER answer the phone. This review is not exaggerated or drama filled in the least . I wouldn't recommend even visiting for a tour.

I've been residing here for about a year, I love the environment and the nature. I talk with the office people such as Mrs. Tonya and Samone they're really good people that include all of the staff the respect they show to their tenants. I would definitely recommend this to anyone , especially with kids cause this is a real kid friendly neighborhood yes we have problem with the trash at times , we have three big dumpers and yet people still throw their garbage on the ground. Thats not the fault of the property. Come on people let's help ourselves keep our neighborhood straight. We have live Here.Beautiful neighborhood.

Everywhere you go you're not going to have perfect neighbors. That's when you know it's time for you to get a house.the garbage situAtion isn't on the complex it's on the people that doesn't put their trash in the can. The Condos uses our trash ,contractors from off the street uses it as well. Everyone I've met that work in the office I consider a privilege to know. I would recommend living here and I'm gonna renew again in October.

Worst place I have ever lived. I wouldn't recommend anyone live here. My ac was out the majority of my lease. There's roaches and rats all over the place. They care more about making the front outside look nice to keep up an illusion. The office women are nice but they don't care about issues in your home trust me nothing will get fixed unless you stay on top of them and even then it'll be months. Oh by the way the water smells like piss so be ware.

Maintenance was horrible. Rats were away at the dumpster due to trash backups. Roaches consumed the building. The outside lawn was always taken care of I constantly to draw in more residents. Then they keep your money at the end of the lease. If Coorperate sees this CLEAN UP THIS PLACE IT HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL. AND SEND OUT A RESIDENT SURVEY.

Major concerns with how management obeys housing codes. Our air conditioning has yet to be repaired or replaced for months. i have called and notified management on several occasions to have them look into this. I was told that the thermostat has to read 85 degrees before it is considered an emergency. It is only April and the heat is very uncomfortable while you have children in the home. Our neighbors cars are being towed and having to pay fines for parking on the side of the curb because all of the parking is taken by others that do not live at the apartment. The children park has private body parts spray painted on them, its been 2 months since i brought that to their attention. The trash is a land fill instead of a drop off dumpster. This experience is a disgrace!!!! Management has complete disregard in taking care of the tenets. I am disgusted and ashamed in WoodLand Estates!
