- There is a fee for EVERYTHING; Don't think you're only paying rent
- It's not always easy to get into contact with the front office
-It sometimes smells like a dog park

We transferred from another Bell Property and they made the move very easy.. our apart is very spacious and the closets are huge.. i would recommend anyone here.

I have been trying to get in contact with the leasing office for weeks now. Every time I visit the leasing office there is a time sign up saying "Will return in 1 hour", so I've tried to call and that experience is terrible too. "Press One to hear about Tryon Park at Rivergate" leads you no where and operator will say "Sorry I didn't get that". Then "Press 5 to leave a message for our staff" also leads no where. I really thought the community looked nice but I've given up on trying to lease there. In order to provide outstanding service you have to start from the beginning. If you're not looking for new residents, congrats! I won't stay there.

The place has gone downhill fairly quickly in the last 2 years. There is tons of foot traffic that cuts through the apartment complex, bringing less than desirable characters. The staff do nothing to stop this or control the groups of sketchy people hanging around the property. I was also told by the regional manager upon breaking my lease that if I did not pay the fee (and chose to pay until someone else rented my apartment) they would do their best to not market the open apartment because "we are in the money making business" and it makes more sense to not list it when others are also available.

Worst apartment community in the area. My dog was bit by a very aggressive dog and suffered a severe puncture wound to the cheek. Nothing was done by the office. My Wife left a message for the office and our call was not returned, not even a call to see if my dog was ok. The dog was part pit bull and supposedly the community bans pit bulls even though the community is crawling with pit bulls. Parents of the dog did not seem to care that my dog was bit and also that they couldn't control their dog. My Wife and I moved out of the community and are beyond excited to no longer be residents at Tryon Park at Rivergate. Only plus of the community is the maintenance staff is very nice. Hopefully it turns around so the current residents don't suffer like my Wife, dog and I did.

I am using a pseudonym simply b/c I love my privacy. However, I lived in this apartment community for two years and two months. It is "hands down" the most beautiful apartment community in the area. You will love your neighbors because the staff makes good choices in that respect. It is a professional community of residents who love the good lifestyle. Although I no longer reside here I would recommend it to the educated professional who wants to be near shopping, eateries, convenience for walking and exercise, bond-fire events on the property and an AWESOME staff.

I've been for 3 years and while I have had some issues I've been pleased with the place. I rented a 3rd floor single bedroom in a building that is only single bedrooms and haven't had any sounds complaints as other have mentioned. I think the multi bedroom apartments with entire families living in them experience the noise issues. The grounds and pool are all well maintained. I do hate the water and trash fee but any apartment in Charlotte will charge you for that. Maintenance is quick to address and fix any issues like cracks in walls from settling. I think most of the negative reviews are from people angry about late rent fees or charges for ruining aspects of the apartment. I took care of mine and had no problems.

Staff were always kind and helpful, and maintenance prompt and friendly. The complex is aesthetically pleasing overall. Build quality is fair, but there is some significant settling of the buildings' foundations already, causing tension cracks throughout 3rd floor apartments and doors requiring rehanging. Very convenient location to Rivergate shopping area and highways 160 and 49.
Not related directly to the apartment, as it is a contractor providing services, but the waste pickup and management group is a nightmare to deal with for most of the residents. I'd rather save the money and just take the trash out myself than deal with erratic services and passive-aggressive notes.

- The front office "staff" will over promise and under deliver EVERY TIME, good luck even getting any help with anything after you've signed your lease.
- The entire property is littered with dog feces
- The gas grills are nice, but have literally only had gas in them for about a month over the past 7 months.
- The online rent portal has not worked for the past two months (June & July)
- The apartments have extremely thin walls were built with very low quality materials.
