I WOULD NOT MOVE HERE!! The property just doesnt care about your well being. The maintenance staff does not respond to issues, they raised the rent months after being in contract and expect you to pay, Ive had issues since Ive moved in and they still havent fixed them yet and they do not repsond or answer the phone. Worst property i have yet to live at! Will not be renewing and counting down the days for my lease to be up!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Worst experience of my life . Do not work with Rena at all I was showed one apartment and then the apartment they gave me have no kitchen drawers , no knobs in the bathroom , no hot water , no washer or dryer that is supposed to come with it , no air conditioner or heat , and I didnt have a working frigde. There was also roaches and mildew and I asked to break my lease bc of those reasons and was told I had to pay 3 months worth of rent and a lease breaking fee because they would not get rid of the roaches and many many problem that the apartment had . And the manager Raul sat and told me none of it was my fault but I still have to literally pay the fees for their down falls . Worst apartment ever ! It may look nice until you wake up to roaches and strange men that are supposed to be fixing things every morning.

I applied for this complex over two months ago. Me and a friend applied together and we were denied. I was to receive my admin fee back but because my friend went back some time later and applied for herself they took the funds and applied to her new account even though they were supposed to be refunded. I called and called, emailed and emailed and finally got the Assist Prop Manager and she stated she would look into it and follow up with me later that week. I never received a follow up. So I finally go to the property and try to speak with her and she tells me it is a domestic matter and I need to take it up with my friend. No, our application was denied so I'm owed my refund. She gets snappy as if she was too busy to speak with me so the Property Manager Raul comes and speaks with me. I give him the entire rundown and he requested my proof of payment and emails from me and the leasing agent Michelle. It's been another two weeks and I've received no communication from anyone this is ridiculous. Please don't waist your time applying to this complex because it's filled with people who need training in customer service and effective communication. Im honestly glad I was denied after going through this.

You call the office about other questions when they actually answer the phone they seem confused/lost . The assistant manager needs to go to school for Customer service skills not sure how she got that job. Its a nice place just horrible management and maintenance crew!

I was in the process of moving out of my old apartment when i came across this complex, after being shown one of the apartments and the reasonable price i decided to apply. Dustin who i spoke with ensured me that if i applied that day that particular apartment would be secured. A few days later, i was approved. After they took my money, i starting hearing less from them of course. I called several times, prior to my move in date, no answer. Finally,i spoke with Dustin. And i was told my apartment would be ready to view that following weekend. When i arrived, still wasnt ready For two months, i was told i could not view the apartment because they were in the cleaning process. I heard absolutely nothing from them after that. The day of move in, i just showed up because i was unable to get in touch with anyone. When i got there, they had no clue i was suppose to move in. They finally showed me the apartment, it was absolutely nothing like the one i was previously showed. It was bleach spots all over the carpet, the smell of mildew and no blinds throughout the entire apartment. I immediately refused to move in under those conditions. I then asked for a refund, because i spent over $300 in move in fees to show up to this. Dustin stated, i would receive a refund and he apologized that the apartment was in those conditions. Since then, Ive called, sent emails and no one ever responds. I would absolutely not recommend this place. Scammers! UPDATE: I NEVER received a refund. Also, after reaching back out to the property manager as I was told to do so, he never responded.

I have lived here for a 1.5years and overall I think it is a good value for an apartment. Let me clarify that my 3 stars state the complex is average (5 stars would be absolutely perfect with no problems). The apartment we have is very nice, and the location next to McAlpine park is nice as well. I would say for the first year I was here maintenance was absolutely horrible. It took them 3 weeks to replace one of the heaters in our oven, 4 weeks to fix our dryer (and it was actually replaced). However, they have made great strides and are much more efficient and quicker to fix problems. I am very satisfied with the way they have handled our maintenance in the last 2-3months. I think to improve maintenance it would help to have some type of scheduling system where you could know what day and about what time they would come by. This would allow the residents to know when they will come by if they want to be there and would help keep jobs on track with maintenance. I will also say the new maintenance staff works very hard, and sometimes I believe they are understaffed. The new maintenance staff is also much friendlier and efficient. Our move-in process was seamless. However, they lady who helped us move in is no longer at Matthews Crossing. When you re-up your lease you are supposed to get a carpet cleaning, but we were not notified of that (even though some of the blame is definitely on us for not fully reading the contract, but it would have been nice to been told this). I have heard horror stories about the move out process and fines. It seems as though management is reasonable as long as you approach it as reasonable, and understand you will pay for damages to your apartment. With that being said I hope our move out goes as smoothly with management as our move-in process. We do enjoy using the pools, but in our experience one or both pools are out of order for a good part of the summer for multiple reasons. Aggressive dog breeds are not supposed to be allowed in the complex, however I have seen just as many pitbulls as other breeds of dogs. Many appliances are outdated and need replacing. Most of these barely matter, but are things I understand some people may take into consideration when looking for an apartment. Overall I think management is friendly and making great strides to build community in the complex and provide a safe and enjoyable living environment. There are improvements that can be made, but again I think the price would be much higher if it was a 5 star complex. It has been a good experience for our first time renting, and I believe it is a nice place.

Coming from the craziness of Miami, FL, I was looking for something calm and clean to live in. I finally chose Matthews Crossing and I am so glad I did. I have been living here since April 2015 and I have to say I and my family love it here. The area is always clean, the staff is always ready and willing to work with you and the maintenance staff are superb. The issues I have encountered, they have handled in the best manner and I can honestly say that I appreciate their efforts. The new gym is awesome it has everything you need plus a yoga room. Now they offer these monthly socials that keep the community at bay with events that are family oriented and I feel that this is a great little hidden gem in the heart of Matthews.

I've been living here for quite some time and I must say the apartments, services, and office staff have made some strides. New management has made an effort to upgrade and provide a more refined living environment. The apartments are nice, I appreciate the 24hr fitness center access, pools and service they provide to the community grounds. The office host multiple engagements/socials for tenants to attend which is pretty nice. The only thing I can request is a better system to maintenance request. Maintenance can be slow to respond at times, which can be frustrating. At one point, an office staff would reach out to you and re the status of your request and even follow up thereafter - but I don't see that occurring any longer. All-in-all, it's a really nice place to live.

Ive lived here for almost 2 years, and did a lot of research to find an apartment with a pool and a gym, but a competitive price. Thats what I found here. After reading the reviews, a lot of people have had negative management experiences, but I havnt had any negative issues with management, and honestly didnt even know the ownership changed! I go to the on-site gym at least once a week, and the staff seems friendly. Ive had a few clogged drains, but they got fixed. Havnt met my neighbors, but they are quiet (I also live on the 3rd floor, so I have an advantage). Overall, I plan to resign, and havnt encountered any issues so far!

I loved our apartment in Matthews Crossing . Any issues that we had the management took care of promptly . We loved the pools and made a few friends while enjoying it . We even enjoyed the gym they have there . Parking was never an issue ,there was plenty . Nights were quiet and peaceful . We do a lot of walking and we were able to do that day or night and feel comfortable and safe . We would def live there again . :)

They didn't respond to or return phone calls, they lost packages (and they leave the closet where they keep their packages wide open; no wonder things disappear sometimes!), the door to the 24 hr gym was broken for MONTHS despite many promises to get it fixed "tommorow", there's always a wait in the office, etc. etc. The places are decent for the price, but I'd look elsewhere so long as Bridge Property Management is the owner here.

I moved here one month ago. The process was very fast for me due to a career change. The staff was extremely helpful with the whole process of setting up all the paper work and leasing information as well as the dates for my move. The only issue I encountered was that there was some kind of miscommunication between the office staff on when I was actually moving in and they had the carpet cleaning scheduled three hours before me moving my furniture in which was not a very good start. But there was nothing I could do about it either. The maintenance staff was outstanding. Brett and Jay were extremely helpful and completed things on the spot that had yet to be finished. This was a big portion of why I didn't give a five star rating. They just seemed to have forgotten about my move in it seemed. Another reason I did not give 5 stars is that I had to push them a little to get things done that should have been done way in advance of me arriving at the Apartment. Seemed like someone forgot that I was coming. I really enjoy living in the community and the apartment price is on point. Very reasonable for the quality and location compared to others that honestly were exactly the same. I looked at the reviews before moving and compared them with others and decided on this one due to location to work and price point. I was in a very rushed situation and needed to find a place to stay. The ratings from others are a bit harsh. There were definitely frustrating moments moving in but overall my experience with everyone has been pleasant thus far.

I have been living here for 7 months, I can say that it is one of the worst places where I have lived: the customer service is terrible, when you report something to fix in the apartment they do not pay attention, it is as if you had not reported anything, and you return it To do and they apologize for the delay, but they do not go, it's as if you speak in the air. With the pool is a lack of respect, throughout the summer if ah been open a week is a lot, they say it has liqueo and they are going to repair it, what they do not tell you for when, may be for next year or the Next, I do not know, they have another small pool in another phase that you can use, but they do not clean it, they do not give it maintenance, it's dirty, it's full of mold, it's disgusting, it's a big disrespect all here. Very disappointed in these apartments. The staff is slow to respond and there is no urgency or care when they eventually get around to it. There are constant problems with the pool. The staff in the office are little to no help and make it seem as if you are inconveniencing them with your requests (even pick up packages). Would not suggest moving in here at all. You can find nicer apartments with great staff for around the same cost. The only staff members that have been helpful were the maintenance workers.

On multiple occasions they lost packages, and moving out was a nightmare. After never giving me full move-out instructions, issues arose that they were in absolutely no rush to correct. This includes having $1,000 extra dollars taken out for rent, not getting the money back for several weeks, and having to frequently contact staff to ensure that something was even happening. Decent apartments for the price and location, just take the company with a grain of salt.

When I came to pick up my keys I looked at my apartment and the it was nowhere near ready. Never once did I get a sorry for the inconvenience. All I got was they have to get you a new carpet. I already had my power scheduled to be cut off thinking I was moving into my new apartment. Now I have to rush and try to find somewhere to stay before my lease is up on 5/3/17!

Horrible!!! These people have false advertisement. I apply for an apartment, because I relocated from SC to NC. I explained the urgency of needing my apartment. My move in date was 2/28, that was changed because I was advised by Rena someone passed away in the unit. She rescheduled my move in date to 3/3 for a different unit, that was changed to 3/6 because the unit wasn't ready. I was also promise on several occasions by Rena and Michelle they would call me back after I disagreed with moving in on 3/6. I asked for a refund back, Michelle said they would refund my money and she would call me back. A week passed, I never heard from Michelle. I spoke to Raul the property manager and he denied my refund. Do not apply for these apartments they have false advertisement, I was advised today they are under renovation and they don't have any homes available. This was a hardship on me and I am very disappointed in the way they handle the situation. All the broken promises and they trying to keep my money.

And he drove unnecessarily fast while my daughter and I sat in the back of the golf cart. The complex is older, built in 1990. More work could be done, but i guess for the price, you really can't complain. The pool was tiny and kinda gross. If I lived there, I probably would never go to the pool lol. Just outside the complex, the main roads are really congested and are having work done. The best part of my viewing experience was the professionalism of the woman who was not helping me lol.

Do not trust management they will give you the illusion that they will work with you if you are late on 1 payment of rent then they will keep added late fees and court cost and send you to court. The Manager Maria is very insensitive. In all my years of renting I have never had this much trouble with management. You would think for all this trouble management given that the apartment would be emaculate. The walls are dented and they leave cheap carpets in the apartments. The dish washer and garbage disposal is old. The alarm system is a total joke. I have only been there for 9 months and in that time frame someone stole a car while a women was coming home at night. Since then there were no police patrols which management promised to watch the complex. Please Don't move here look for somewhere else to live take my experience as a learning experience for both of us and take your money and run... don't believe the lies.

Ive lived here for almost 2 years, and many more apts previous to Matthews Crossing and these by FAR are the worst ive lived in so far.. the staff in the office seem nice at first and I'm sure they are outside of work, however, once you come to them with a problem they DONT want anything to do with you if its at their expense. They are rude, careless and don't really care about their residence AT ALL! Unless, you keep your mouth shut and pay them rent and dont complain (which im not one to ever do so, UNLESS the situation really calls for it). Second, the rate you pay the first year will not be what you have to pay the 2nd, 3rd and so on, it will literally go up 50-100 dollars every year until, and when it comes to any other issue with money, they are EXTREMELY money hungry and will charge you for every little thing they see fit, keep in mind these apts are NOT worth what you pay and are not what you see in the "show" apt. Two years ago, I started off paying 715/mo for 2b/2b this year i pay 782/mo and this coming july starting my 3rd year i will have to pay almost 875/mo. Ive been a very responsible (never being late for rent), respectful, and problem free resident here... but I am just tired of what we are offered for the price we pay. Oh, 2 more thing i must mention... I wouldnt ever count on a parking space close to your apt, unless your lucky. Also, you share water w. other neighbor apts as well.. they tell you, you dont, but ive been backed up from numerous residents as well that they have the same issue I do, and thats getting a 5 min hot shower in the mornings and some other parts of the day, knowing i havent used any water all night for it to get cold in 5 mins and my water bill alters in price every month to an extreme high one mo. to very low the next..with only 2 people living here we take the same amount of showers a day, 2 loads of laundry a week and a load of dishes 3 times a week. I never had any of these problems in any other apt ive stayed in and got along VERY well w. the staff, the only reason i moved from those was to upgrade to more space (which is about the only GOOD thing about Matthews crossing), but this will be my last 3 months here in this MONEY HUNGRY PLACE!
