I am so disappointed. I have been living at this complex for almost a year and once new management came in I have not been happy since. The big issue is 3 times my bathroom has flooded. On the third time so was my closet. I placed maintenance request each time and now I have to deal with the issues for 4 days until a contractor can come and fix an issue that I've been told was fixed twice before. They were supposed to have someone come and clean my carpet and I guess no one checked after because my floor is still soaked and the smell is indescribable and they told me I have to wait 5 days and if it still smells they will replace it. I thought once carpet is actually clean it won't smell but maybe that's just me. I would give anything to have the old management back from when I moved in because they were so wonderful. I am most def not renewing theres not anything they could do to keep me. I don't think current management is ginuene at all in their response and I'd love to leave if I could but I'm sure they'd try to charge me for it. Never been so disappointed in my place of residence. Can't even seem to get a response from corporate either. Such a disappointment in the company on all levels of service.

If i could give this place less than a star I would. Wouldn't recommend this place to someone I loathe. From the black mold, to all the species of bugs, insects and lizards inside, to the "nice" finishes that end up just tearing up, to the fact my car window has been broken not once but TWICE (a neighbors window was also shattered) and has been attempted to be broken into many many nights which i have the damage to prove. The walls are PAPER thin I can hear every foot step and every Cardi B song my upstairs neighbors play at all hours of the day. Hot water lasts MAYBE 15 min if your lucky I always had to wash my hair in cold water. There is always a sketchy car parked outside my building doing drugs not like management cares. They might not have cameras or any kind of security system, but rest easy theres millions of speed bumps that will certainly mess up your suspension :) Also the rent is over $1,000 for a ONE bedroom and continued to rise every single month with absolutely no explanation.This place is a waste of money and time, counting down the days until I move out of this place. Please take your money elsewhere.

I have normally had good experiences with staff especially Emily Mayhew when she was apart of the staff at this location. Just recently I was told different things from multiple leasing agents that work in the leasing office regarding rent payments. Keep in mind staff may change every 1-2 months. Rent payments are only able to be made electronically 1-5 which is new policy. My feature was not available to pay electronically so when i reached out on the 1st the representative said they would research the issue , reach out to a higher up and reach back out to me which never happened. Since then additional bill payments for no related companies were processed which depleted the full amount of rent that needed to be paid. When speaking with Anthony the blame was put all on me and not one apology was given. He basically told me to be late next month so he could waive the late payment then instead of offering any compensation. I just renewed my lease in May and since then they have changed where i am able to park by my building and changed the property to non-smoking. (Rent is over $1000 for a 1 bedroom) if any of this was presented before renewal i would have never renewed. All in all I do not believe staff as of now is considerate or caring of their residents issues. They just want people to move in as quick as possible . I would not recommend Hunt Club or be renewing my lease because of this experience.

When I first moved here I loved it, the apartment was great and so were their employees (specifically Emily). Now after 15 months we will not be renewing our lease. The office staff has changed and I don't feel that they are not as helpful. They will be super nice and accommodating until you become a resident and then it drops off. The apartments are really nice but some of the rennovations seem cheap and we had issues with our heat several times during the winter. The cops kept getting called on this one apartment and the residents would have very loud fights right outside our apartment, although I haven't seen them for a month. My dog kept getting attacked by non-residents dogs and no one ever contacted me about it when I went to the office to complain. I will say the maintenance employees are wonderful. I really enjoyed this place at first so it is disappointing that I feel so differently now. I am worried for when we move out and the possible difficulties that we may have with that, will update my review after move-out.

Moved in three months ago and so far it has been pretty great. The person who helped us find the apartment, Emily, is amazing and works really hard and knows a lot. The rest of the staff is great and when I place a maintenance order online, the response is very quick so I suggest going about it that way. Despite the delay of the pool and clubhouse opening which seems to be out of managements hands because Cortland seems like a company that puts its residents first in any way possible. Perhaps it was a delay with the construction company and massive amounts of rain we have had. I look forward to the amenities and hope to see other fun stuff like the food trucks they had a couple weeks ago! Will review again in 6 months.

The process of moving in wasnt really a hastle for me, but the day before of move in day I was told that I could look at my apartment. When I drove over there they didnt have the key so I didnt get my tour. I moved in and filled out a sheet of all the things that were wrong with the apartment and maintenance came by and fixed a light bulb. I easily couldve done that myself. They didnt come back to fix anything else. Maintenance is terrible and cant correctly do their job. My lock broke off of my bathroom door and they never came by to give me a new one. My rent also went up every month for no reason. A bunch of fees I didnt know about prior to moving in. They also tried to give us a fee that wasnt ours, it was the people who lived there prior to us. They put it on our account and tried to get us to pay a fee that WAS NOT OURS. We fought it off and they removed it from our account. Im glad I Moved out of there. Our apartment was falling apart, our rent was constantly rising every month due to fees we werent told about, and there is NEVER parking. Not right for me to park somewhere thats not around my building because other people who dont live there want to park in residential parking. Then they would send out an email and get upset when people parked on the side of the road, wouldnt have to if there were parking spots for us RESIDENTS who pay $1200 to live there. Theyre no help with anything and I wouldnt recommend these homes. The interior is pretty in the model apartment, but its used up and gross in the apartment you will live in. My apartment smelled like straight cigarettes and I had to buy a ton of air fresheners to remove the smell. Awful place!!

I give it three stars because its decent. My biggest issue was how to hot water only last for about 12mins. If youve had a long day run a bath because after twelve mins the hot water goes straight to cold and will definitely piss you off. Theyve got a basic pool with an even more basic gym. There amenities are slim. If you want a place thats going to keep you entertained this isnt the one. Hard to meet people here because of that. Not a fan of the staff leaving to work at 4pm. The nicer apartments keep staff 24hrs and I think that might be overkill but leaving before someone makes it home from work is just bad. Decks are wooden so if you live on the first floor beware of neighbors above you with a dog. Their hair flows right through those gaps straight into your drink. This can also happen with cigarettes butts and just any sort of spills. Luckily the last two never happened to me. Besides that the staff is nice. They have a party or two every once in awhile but like every apartment they want to change you more and more each year and to me this place isnt worth $1,000 unless you work nearby.

Current resident for two years, completely disastisfied with the property manager in particular and the way they handle lease renewals. I had been asking for awhile what the rate increase would be and the staff kept telling me they would be released. I finally get the rate increase though email and it comes a mere 9 days before I have to give a 60 day notice of whether or not I will renew, so that basically gives me 9 days to secure another apartment if the rate is out of my budget. The property had a lot of upside when I first moved in back in 2016 but it seems the management is more concerned with making money than customer service. The property also towed one of my cars with a decal when I was loading things into my apartment. And I had to pay 200 dollars for and when I went to the manager to see if I could get any kind of credit. She offered nothing and showed no empathy whatsoever for the situation. Property was certainly better managed when Ms. Ashley Broussard was the property manager. Also the apartments look nice aesthetically but in actuality they're old. Does not have good ventilation or hold air or heat well. So higher power bills. They aused very cheap materials to make them look nice but don't be fooled, lumpy floors that feel like they will fall through, constant leaks in bathroom from the ceiling and other appliances. You can definitely find better apartments with better staff in the area for a much better price than Hunt Club and other cortland properties. I would stay away from cortland partners properties. They're only concern is making money, not the residents.

FALSELY REPORTED ME TO COLLECTIONS KEEP IN MIND: I never visited the actual apartment complex, I cant even begin to tell you how to get to the Hunt Club Apartments by Cortland.Yet they sent me to collections through a company called "RENT RECOVERY".BEWARE. DON'T EVEN APPLY, THEY'LL RUIN YOUR CREDIT. I considered moving into this apartment complex in my relocation to Charlotte. I ultimately didn't hear back from the sales rep after I initially submitted the application. I check my bank statement some time afterwards and noticed they charged me their 250.00 application fee TWICE. I call my bank and reverse both charges considering no one followed up with me for the application I attempted to submit. I have the charges reversed and go on about my life. I receive notice that The Hunt Club apartments have reported me to COLLECTIONS FOR AN APPLICATION I NEVER GOT A FOLLOW UP REPLY FOR. My credit score has dropped 40 points as a result of their GROSS NEGLECT AND INCOMPETENCE. I try calling and speaking to decision maker at this wretched place to substantiate that I did not incur this debt. I get the run around from a lovely representative how did her best to assist me with the decision making power she had. She tells me her manager "Christine" will call me back and she never does. I just called them in regard to this horror and the same lovely rep sends me a a copy of invoice that states I owe them nothing. If this company believes they can report innocent people to collections and pacify them with insipid invoices they've got it COMPLETELY TWISTED. I am reporting them to the better BBB. I will also be reporting this property manager to the Real Estate Broad because this is beyond egregious. YOU DON'T PLAY WITH PEOPLES CREDIT. PERIOD RUN LIKE HELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Although there are a lot of small issues in my apt Melvin is always right on it. One day he fixed 7 issues all in an hour! I really love the people and the great location.

I lived at the Hunt Club Apartments more than 2 years. The staff is their best quality! Maintenance is ALWAYS prompt! The staff is always friendly! The neighborhood is staff and close to everything. My only issues were the energy bill because the apartments are not properly insulated, the renovations are cheap and after a while the cracks start to show, & my roommate & I couldnt get a nice hot shower for more than 5 minutes. On average my energy bill was over 100.00 a month whereas at other communities it was much less! Aside from those things this is definitely one of the better places to live in the University area.

I wouldnt even give them any stars if possible. Pay attention to ALL your invoices. I had a one bedroom 660 sq ft apt. My water bills were 50-70$/ mo which I always had to fuss about. After several months, they finally replaced the water meter. There were even days where the water would unexpectedly be off all day! Several times this occurred! For several months, I had no amenities available to me and I still paid for them. I went half the summer with no pool and went all winter with no gym. To make it worse, I am family oriented. I was always harassed about my guests. At one point, I was told to add my guests to my lease! The maintenance enters without consent. One time i was undressed and a male maintenance attendant entered. As a female, that was completely inappropriate especially as I had requested permission to enter. The apartment looks nice. But the staff is very unprofessional, especially Daisha. I wouldnt recommend this community to anyone! Invest your money in quality, not this try to cover up the outdatedness trash!

If you want to enjoy trucks food, free beers, meet new neighbors, this is the place to live at. Met Kristine, Dana, few Emilys and bunch of other lit folks. The complex is top notch! Hands Down!

First of all i would just like to say that i have never written a review on google before, but my experience with hunt...

First of all i would just like to say that i have never written a review on google before, but my experience with hunt club was so terrible that i felt it was necessary. The paperwork process for hunt club was extremely drawn out - it took almost 2 months just to get all the necessary paperwork from them and several times we would be sent prices that didn't match up with previous claims, and even when we went to pay for our first month of rent, we brought a check because our welcome letter told us to do so but when we got there they told us it had to be a money order. When we originally toured the model home we were impressed, but on move - in day we looked around and the size seemed significant smaller, especially the bedrooms and closets. After bringing this up with the women at the front desk they denied it, which is fine - that wouldn't have been a huge deal. As were looking around at the apartment on move in day and looking for little things that might be wrong, we find minor issues - lightbulbs out, fan makes a weird noise, paint chipping, whatever. About 5 minutes into it we realize that the door leading out to the balcony was literally rotting out of its door frame. Not only is this unsafe, and a total code violation (sorry, were an architecture family), but there was almost an inch of space under the door where mice and bugs could, and would, definitely come in. In addition to the issue with the balcony door, one of the bedroom doors was split in half and just hanging there. Whoever approved this apartment as ready to live in was clearly not qualified. When we mentioned these issues to Hunt Club they did admit that it was unacceptable, but the women representing the apartment complex seemed very unwilling to take responsibility and just kept saying it was management's fault. Keep in mind that I am an out of state student, so i flew from Rhode Island just to move in, and now i had all of my stuff in a trailer, and no where to put it. So that means that the cost of flights, a trailer, and a storage was all money flushed down the drain. Moving forward they told us that they would cancel our lease, and freeze our checks so that no money would be processed. However, 2 days later i get a call from the bank saying that THE CHECKS WERE CASHED, essentially meaning that they went ahead and processed checks that they claimed were being thrown out. A couple days later, we finally have this issue resolved and are ready to move in to a new place. Overall, their club house is really nice so it may be misleading..... but DO NOT GIVE THIS DUMPSTER HOLE YOUR BUSINESS.

I have lived at Hunt Club for about a month now and could not be happier. The upgraded units are very nice and everything works perfectly. The staff is INCREDIBLE! Heather, Emily, and Melvin have all helped make my move work so smoothly. The remodeled leasing center and pool area are great too. The complex seems relatively quiet. The car cleaning area is a definite plus. You can tell this community is going to continue to flourish. I would definitely recommend living in this community.

Parking sucks, wish we had more parking and maybe garages for our cars. The grills all around the property make it easy to grill out. The Nest thermostats are dope too! I'm ready to take advantage of ALL the amenities but its looking like its well worth the wait!!!! My only complaint are bad kids (not the property's fault), parking and that the mailbox is forever and day away.

My boyfriend and I have had our apartment for almost a month now and we couldn't be more happy! When we first visited, we were feeling pretty stressed considering we had already signed a lease with a different apartment, but realized that we weren't comfortable with that community. Emily Mayhew was in the office that weekend when we came in and reassured us that Hunt Club would be the perfect fit for us. And she was right! The community is very quite and very friendly. The staff is more than happy to assist with anything that we need and are super friendly! The maintenance team is also fantastic. They call to let me know when they plan on entering our home, which is so convenient. The new updates in the apartments are so beautiful, as well as the new pool! I recommend Hunt Club apartments to anyone who is looking for a new home with an amazing staff and community!

I don't even know where to start when it comes to explaining how awesome my Hunt Club experience has been! First off, the staff is incredible! Heather leads an amazing team. She is an absolute sweetheart and she'll go above and beyond to accommodate you with whatever you need. Madison is your go-to for anything you need to know about the property. She's definitely my favorite! Emily is pretty rad, too! Between the brand new pool, clubhouse and upgrades inside each apartment, everything is top notch. Trust me, you're not going to get a better bang for your buck anywhere else in the Charlotte area. Right now is the perfect time to move in if you're looking for a new place to call home!
