I've lived in at least five different apartments at Park Manor - from one bedroom, one bathroom to my current three bedroom, two bathroom apartments.
They offer VERY affordable apartments. They aren't luxury apartments (hence the price). But, if you are a college student looking for affordable housing, it's one of the best places to rent.
The management of the complex does a great job. When you sign a lease at Park Manor Apartments, Tom (the manager) sits down with you and walks you through all of their handbook. He makes everything extremely clear and you have no doubts about what is or isn't allowed.
They take care of the grounds and are very responsive to any issues you may have. I've had a number of experiences where I've filled out a work request to get something fixed and had someone knocking on my door within a few hours to fix the problem.
They have a laundry room that's accessible to all tenants (the machines take coins). And some apartments have their own washer and dryer.
They have a little playground for the kids, but the sandbox is more like a "dirtbox" and leaves much to be desired. Besides that, it is a great place for kids to run around and have fun in a safe environment.
Some of the apartments are a bit older, but they are regularly updating apartments as tenants leave. Some of the newer units have hardwood floors.
All in all, you really can't beat the value that you get at a cost that doesn't break the bank.
