The landlord does absolutely nothing. She doesn't answer our phone calls 50% of the time and never wants to call us back when we leave voicemails. We moved in around October before we moved in she promised us we would have carpet flooring. The DAY OF us moving in she took us to the apartment and said: oh yea we put laminate in instead. Another HUGE problem the same day of us moving in was our air conditioning. It was still crazy hot October and for some reason, the A/C didn't work in an apartment that should have been fully checked before we moved in. It took about 4 phone calls just for them to say they were going to come check it out. They gave us a date they were going to come and a time but didn't show up until two days later. When yheu finally decided to show up they just said they were going to call someone that needed a license to fix it but since summers almost over they aren't going to fix it. The maintenance crew blatantly avoids doing their job. The rent is too damn high, for 860 a month I feel like I'm living in a beat down apartment in rockford. Keeping in mind you have to stay here until your lease is up or they make you pay for the apartment you lived until someone else moves in. Fast forwarding to today. They said they were doing maintenance checks which were awesome because our hot water stopped working and WHAT DO YOU KNOW they say someone will come fix it and they never come. So they came in and we told them about the hot water once again, said they would be back in about an hour to fix it. NEVER CAME BACK, had to call again this morning to ask for the third time said they would be in before 4.. Holding my breath. This place has been hell for us, counting the days till we can finally leave.
