Azusa Pacific University

Most students leave Azusa when they graduate from the university. It’s a small city, and the job availability there pales in comparison to nearby large cities in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. A common trap for students to fall in is they sign a September lease for their apartment, but then after they graduate in the spring and want to move out of Azusa to pursue a job elsewhere they’re still bound to their apartment. They’re faced with the decision of staying, or moving away and still having to pay the last few monthly installments. I would recommend signing a lease that expires in May, June, or July at the latest. There isn’t much partying on campus on the weekends; this Christian school frowns upon that type of behavior, and the city of Azusa is rather tame. Some students who live nearby even head home on the weekends. There are tons of way to have fun here, you just might have to travel a little bit to enjoy it. Los Angeles is 30 minutes away, and there’s a bus that can take you right from Azusa to the city. Why not drive out there, or use public transit to spend a Saturday night out there, or in Long Beach or Anaheim? If you want to stay closer, the Acadia Wilderness Park is just minutes north of campus and offers fun nature-related activities.
