Note the attention to detail and unique building designs that create a restful atmosphere in our Albuquerque Northeast Heights 1 & 2 bedroom apartments. Each apartment provides all the comforts of modern day luxury with old world charm. Features include breakfast bars, ample closet space, gas ranges, dishwashers, central air conditioning and gas heat, high-speed internet/cable ready, solid concrete construction and a patio or balcony standard. In select apartment homes we offer walk-in closets and a vanity/dressing area. Our apartments in Northeast Albuquerque are very spacious, with up to 760 square feet for a 1 bedroom and 990 square feet for a 2 bedroom. And remember, at Mission Hill Apartments we offer pet friendly apartments where large dogs and cats are welcome (view our pet friendly policy).
Our community features 2 large swimming pools with new pool furniture, a playground, on-site laundry facilities, plenty of free parking and an onsite Internet Cafe offering the use of PCs, printer and free wi-fi in the cafe and at the pool. We proudly offer 24-hour emergency maintenance and Valley Protective Services provides courtesy patrol from 6:00 pm until 6:00 am everyday. I know people read these reviews and think "it can't be that bad" but please listen to me, it is bad. I'll start with the lack of maintenance of property and apartments. You know all those water feature photos they use to lure people in? They have never worked. They shut off water, constantly, with no warning, fun when you need to go to work. Someone broke the door to the laundry room so instead of fixing it to help hundreds of people in a timely manner, they left it locked for a week and told anyone who asked "we'll get to it". They cut the grass, end of property maintenance.
Now onto who they rent too. I live next to a man who has mental issues, alcohol and lots of loaded guns. He stands in the courtyard screaming about how he will shoot people carrying said guns. The management did nothing. He also puts speakers outside to blast country music as loud as possible. Management also did nothing. There are people obviously dealing drugs all over, my downstairs neighbour was shot in the stomach over a drug deal. Each person's apartment in my block have been broken into.
The owners don't care at all. Grounds are always covered in trash, trash bags sit outside apartments. Pet owners refuse to leash their dogs (which lead to me having to kick a dog to prevent it from biting mine) or pick up after them. The grass is covered in poop. It is loud. I wouldn't walk around at night. Cars are broken into regularly. If you call what they tell you is security they may show up hours later
if at all and don't do anything. The police are here a few times a week and just avoid. I'm writing this after a 7 hour swat standoff next door due to drug charges.
And let's not forget their "fitness center" is one working cycle and a stair machine. They refuse to fix the treadmill, which falls in line with their refusal to fix anything else.

I've live at the mission hill apts for about 3 years and since I've been here the place has improved alot since Nicole has been there. At the time nothing ever got done as of the Maintenance or the staff.. However once Nicole was hired everything started to change things are getting done and now the apts are getting updated inside and out the maintenance is now doing the work orders alot more faster!! The place is turning around thanks to hard work that Nicole is putting into. I would have walked away from this place and never look back but now that its changing for the good I wouldn't mind going back because if there was an issue or problem Nicole would work with me on the issue so thanks to Nicole for this improvement, I now give it a 5 star!.

I am a resident at Mission Hill Apartments. The two in a half years I have lived there MJ, Nicole, and the staff are good people. Nicole and MJ are awesome people plus great managers that make sure things get done to satisfy their residents. They are on top of getting work orders put in quickly. The maintenance workers at Mission Hill Apartments make sure to fix and complete work orders very good. I don't think it is right for residents to be rude or yell at any of the staff at all. Since Mission Hill Apartments are always pleasing their residents. Or finding ways to please their residents and making them feel comfortable.

I've made 3 request for maintenance and took off work all 3 times and maintenance didn't show up once I had to fix it and pay for the stuff to fix it I recommend don't move here they care about the money and don't care about the tenants. They should get charged late fees Everytime they don't show up. And when your lease is almost up they will start looking for things just to give you three day notices to fix problems that weren't problems before they make promise they don't keep they should have to pay Everytime they don't show up or keep promises . I was there for a year and when my lease was up I did the walk through with Adam and everything was okay. Its been over 3 months and I havent got my refund. Now MJ is trying to say I had a broken widow when I moved out. (They dont have proof of a broken window because there wasnt one) now they only want to give me $35 out of the 200 dollars I gave them for my damage deposit. TAKE PICTIRES OF EVERYTHING WHEN YOU MOVE IN AND OUT!!!! They will take all the money they can from you. Ghetto apartments. Do not recommend.

Very helpful upon move in and took care to make sure carpet was cleaned again before we moved in. We had fridge and oven issues which they fixed promptly.
Neighbors are either quiet or friendly.
Amenities are attended to and fixed or replaced in reasonable timeframes.

It's the sort of place where you have to take the bad with the good. The neighborhood isn't the safest, but they do allow pets. The buildings are a little run down, but the interiors are spacious and comfortable. Meeting the right neighbors is hit or miss, but they're there if you're willing to look. Nicole is friendly, sweet and helpful whenever I have to take care of any paperwork, and any problems I've had were relatively quickly solved.

I guess they like to punish their residents by having them pay an additional $10 to get a cashier check from a bank.

DONT LIVE HERE. I have read all of the reviews for the past year for Mission Hill Apartments. Some things I HAVE experienced and some I have not. Let's start with the good. Contrary to some reviews I have not experienced one cockroach in my house. I have never had a leaky roof or a problem with maintenance not coming fast enough. Maintenance always comes in a timely fashion and are very nice. Now for some of the things that are true about these reviews, the amount of crime here is no joke. The first week I moved in our car was broken into, vandalized and car theft was attempted. Then, only a few months later, my gas was siphened out of my car. Then, days later someone drilled a hole in the actual tank. The office does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this. The mind blower here though is that last week a neighbor was robbed at gun point by someone who also lived in the complex and the office has not done anything. All they care about here is the rent check at the end of the month.

Its been almost 4 weeks. LoL Just talked with the main managerwho says she'll send maintenance by on monday. Will post a update later.
So came home nothing was fixed. Went to the office an brought up N.M. Stat. Ann. 47-8-27.2. Told them we werent paying rent until our ceiling was fixed. They sent maintenance over right then an there. Now our ceiling will be fixed tomorrow morning.... "hopefully"

It's a great location and awesome view and trails. The building I live in is constantly being worked on. I can never get a good nights rest... whether it be the heater going out or the A/C. It's not a big deal to until the expectations become one sided. I pay my bills on time.. But the services and tools never are. And don't ever plan on sleeping in living here, maintenance with leaf blowers and stupid trucks cleaning carpets and pipes sound like a tank running right outside your window. Oh and the laundry room constantly smells like mold and mildew growing somewhere.

After living in Mission Hill Apartments for a year and a half, I am here to give you an honest review. I think the overall theme is: "you get what you pay for". This apartment complex is pretty cheap, so you can't really expect a 5-star experience. My highest praise is that Krystal, one of the office girls, can do anything and everything. She is definitely the best in my opinion, and was quick to put in work orders whenever I had a problem. Unfortunately, some of the other office staff are not quite as capable. I had one issue that took over a month and 4 trips to the office to resolve because the gentleman would write down my issue on a post-it note and then throw it away. That was very frustrating. But as I said, if Krystal takes care of you, you won't have a problem.
A few times I was woken up by loud drunken people outside, and the cops were also at the complex a few times (assuming drug-related but can't be certain). My immediate neighbors seemed friendly, although it seemed like no one was ever outside.
Now, to the most frustrating part. After moving out of my apartment, I only got $125 back out of my $200 deposit. I was told that the costs were for oven and cabinet cleaning. This frustrates me because I spent several hours making sure the apartment was spotless - spent money on oven cleaner and other cleaning items. I am 100% certain that those items needed no additional cleaning, so I can only assume that they charge every tenant those fees without actually inspecting the apartment. At this point there is nothing I can do about the fees other than warn prospective tenants that this will probably happen to you too, so don't waste your time cleaning.

OFFICE STAFF - Rent to all section 8, HUD, and any individual who shows interest in their community. Lots of drug activity, loud parties, and sleepless nights due to your neighbors.
EMERGENCY ON-CALL (VALLEY PROTECTIVE SERVICES) - The cheapest company in town never come out when you call nor do they patrol the property at night
PARKING - The gate off of Snow Heights is suppose to be locked at 9:00pm at night never is always left open

If you hate cockroaches I urge anyone, STRONGLY, not to move in to these apartments. I had a year lease with them from April 2012 to April 2013. My roommate and I really liked the apartments during the walk through but that changed quickly. During the warm months, all summer long and throughout spring and fall, the place was completely infested. We found them in our food, kitchen, living room you name it. Worst of all, on several occasions, crawling on us while we slept. I'm still scarred from the experience. We notified the office several times and they would simply have pest control stop by once a month. That did nothing. We also had roach baits everywhere, boric acid everywhere, and we'd plug up drains at night. There were no beating these pests. I hope my story helped some of you in your decision finding a new home.

This is terrible complex, unsafe parking lot even though it's semi-gated. A lot of the apartments are in bad repair though they may seem okay at first site. The weekend we moved in it took them 3 days to repair something in the kitchen that had apparently not been hooked up correctly and consequently left water flowing everywhere when we had to use the kitchen sink. And yes WE HAD to use the sink because the dishwasher was broken for 3 weeks. After living here for about a month we walked into our apartment one evening and found our entire kitchen area flooded. Turned out that someone else's plumbing had backed up into our apartment. The girls in the front office are pretty nice, as are all of the maintenance men that I've had contact with, but there is one really rude man in the front office. Tenants seem really varied, although, I can't help but point out someone stole our welcome mat and I personally witness someone tell their 6-7 year old kid that it was okay to pee themselves in the pool area ( standing in the corner). We only got a 6 month lease but IT IS STILL WAY TOO LONG. I can't wait to get away from this place. It has been a real nightmare.
